The FIFPRO World 11, an accolade honoring the top male and female footballers as chosen by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) Professional Players' Association, recognizes the year's most outstanding players as voted by their peers. Originally known as the FIFPRO World 11, this prestigious award was established in 2005 with the aim of celebrating the finest footballers as determined through peer nominations. In 2009, a partnership between FIFPRO and FIFA led to the renaming of the award to the "FIFA FIFPRO World 11," also known as the FIFA Team of the Year, while maintaining the original selection process. Commencing in 2024, FIFPRO will independently manage the award and revert to its original title, the FIFPRO World 11.
The FIFPRO Team of the Year, an accolade exclusively chosen by professional footballers from across the globe, stands as the sole global honor determined entirely by players. The eligibility for the award is based on performances between August 4, 2025, and July 19, 2026, with a minimum requirement of participation in 30 official matches.
The final lineup of eleven players will consist of one goalkeeper, three defenders, three midfielders, three forwards, with the remaining slot filled by the non-goalie player who secures the highest number of votes.
