Since the 15th of September, Arnold has been deployed as a starter only in the match against Villarreal, where he was substituted at the 52nd minute. In the Clasico, he made a token appearance, and he was absent from the Madrid Derby. In his recent four appearances, he has been an alternate. Mourinho favors players with superior physical attributes, and Arnold is often on the field when the Portuguese coach believes the team's advantage is substantial. This season, he has been a starter only once away from home. Throughout the season, Arnold has been in action for a total of seven times, accumulating 344 minutes on the pitch, while Digne has played in three more matches, totaling nearly 600 minutes on the field.
